No West Park Leeds in this scheduled three way so it was an extended game against Roundhegians. On a small pitch it was the hosts who took early advantage with two tries as Cleck were still waking up. Learning from recent defeats Cleck picked the ball up well in the loose and moved it well with determination. Robbie Butterworth with his first touch getting Cleck on the score sheet. After a hard word at the 1st interval Cleck upped their game dominating the second period with better rucking, strong tackling and some forceful running. Will Stephenson and Tom Oldroyd led by example both playing tremendous foreword games. Lucy McKay scrummed well and Jack Burry was in the action. Aaron Jackson turned plenty of ball over and powered over for a score, Robbie Butterworth darted through the defence for two more and Lucas Birts squeezed in the corner. Another small lapse let Roundhegians pull two more back but good running from Veron Dhesi, Jack Wake and Luke Hopkin put constant pressure on the hosts. Robbie Butterworth got over twice more to complete five for the day and Lucas Birts got his second with an amazing finish in the corner once more. A good well contested game by both teams and enjoyed by all.
