Tom Brooke Gets Late 1st Team Call Up

Tom Brooke Gets Late 1st Team Call Up

The hard tackling back row or fullback has not started with the 1st team since having a shoulder reconstruction last summer and makes a welcome return.

Piercy's injury adds to the woes of Cleckheaton, who are experiencing severe pressure on player availability this weekend with Joe Goiti and Johnno Marshall also on the sidelines with knocks and Ollie Depledge and Ed Chappelow waiting to see the specialist. The unavailability of Grant Turton, Lee Queeley and Tom Crewe this weekend due to other commitments brings the total number of absent players to 8.

On the good news front, 1st Team prop Andy Piper's operation on his 3 slipped disks has been a success and whilst it is still early days, the current prognosis is that we should be seeing Andy back in a Cleckheaton shirt for the start of next season.
